The Ares is a fighter/utility knife developed by Curtis Iovito and Mark Carey with direct input from U.S. Special Operations practitioners. It's built to military specifications—not as a display piece, but as a working combat tool that doubles as a field utility blade.
The 5.375-inch fixed drop point blade is ground from CPM MagnaCut, a powdered metallurgy steel offering exceptional edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Heat treated to 61-63 HRC, the blade geometry provides strength at the tip while maintaining an efficient cutting curve for breaching, field tasks, and close-quarters work. SpartaCoat PVD finishes—DLC Flat Black or ZrN Flat Dark Earth—add corrosion protection and eliminate glare.
At 10.5 inches overall and just over 6 ounces, the Ares is lighter and faster than its appearance suggests. The blade tip aligns with the user's hand for natural point control. 3D-contoured CE Canvas Micarta handles in black or green deliver a non-slip grip in any condition.
Available with MOLLE-compatible sheaths or Kydex, depending on configuration. Made in the USA.
Ares takes its name from the Greek god of war—a fitting designation for a blade designed alongside the operators who would stake their lives on it.
