Spartan Blades Grafi Pen
The Spartan Blades Grafi is a bolt action titanium pen, Swiss milled in the USA from the same 6AL4V titanium Spartan Blades uses in its folder frames. Spartan takes the name from the ancient Greek for writings that express meaning. It is the writing side of an EDC kit built by a knife company that holds its pens to the same standard as its blades.
Spartan Grafi Pen Specs
The Grafi measures 5.25 inches long with a 0.43 inch body and a 0.372 inch nib, and it weighs 1.2 ounces. The body is scalloped and the nib is sculpted for grip and control. Spartan tunes the tip to move as little as possible on the page. The bead blasted finish resists scratches, so it holds up to pocket carry next to keys and a knife.
Bolt Action and Schmidt Cartridge
Custom springs tune the bolt action so it runs smooth without feeling stiff or sloppy. Inside is a Schmidt Technology easyFLOW 9000 M pressurized cartridge, which Spartan picked for writing in almost any situation. It is a common refill, so replacements are easy to find.
Grafi Finishes and Titanium Damascus
The standard Grafi is bare bead blasted titanium. Hardware versions add blue or bronze anodized titanium to the clip, nib, cap, and bolt. The top of the line is the Titanium Damascus edition. It uses flamed titanium Damascus accents, and each pen gets Spartan's Storm Watch finish applied individually in-house, so no two look exactly alike.
