Spartan Blades Nemec
The Spartan Blades Nemec is a slim gent's flipper designed by Ondřej Němec, the Czech designer who co-founded ANV Knives. It marked his welcome to the designer roster at Spartan Blades. Němec grew up in his father's workshop and brings more than a decade in the knife industry as a designer and consultant. The Nemec is built to carry discreetly in a dress pocket and still handle daily cutting. It belongs to Spartan's Field Grade line, produced in Taiwan through Pineland Cutlery.
Spartan Blades Nemec Specs
The Nemec carries a 3.5 inch straight back blade, full flat ground from 0.125 inch stock. It runs 8 inches open and about 4.3 inches closed. The thin stock and full flat grind make it a real slicer. A liner lock holds it open, and a deep carry clip keeps the slim frame low in the pocket.
Flipper Action and S35VN Steel
The blade opens off a flipper tab and runs on a caged bearing pivot for quick, smooth deployment. It is CPM S35VN, a proven premium stainless that balances edge retention, toughness, and easy sharpening. Our knife steel guide shows where it sits among modern steels.
Carbon Fiber and Titanium Builds
Our shelf carries two Nemecs. The sculpted carbon fiber build pairs a black PVD blade with a weight of just under 2 ounces. The titanium build has a stonewashed blade at about 2.6 ounces. Both are featherweight for a 3.5 inch folding knife, so they ride as easily in slacks as in jeans.
Nemec vs Eleos and Poros
