The Neutron 2 is a lightweight, high-performance folding knife designed for everyday carry. Introduced in 2018 as the successor to TRM's original Neutron, it features a deeper carry pocket clip, greater scale variety, and the same reliable slicey performance. The 3" full flat powdered metal steel blade is razor-sharp out of the box, while the titanium pocketed liners allow for easy scale swaps. The custom-made titanium thumbstuds and barrel spacers remain unchanged from the original Neutron. At just 2.5 oz, it's light in the pocket and heavy on performance.

Blade

The 3" drop point blade uses MagnaCut steel, a premium American powder metallurgy stainless steel designed to maximize edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness simultaneously. The tumbled finish gives it a matte, non-reflective appearance while helping to hide scratches and wear. MagnaCut is approximately 30% better in edge retention than S45VN with significantly better toughness, making it ideal for hard-use applications.

Handle

The handle is made of CamoCarbon, a lightweight and durable material that provides a secure grip. The titanium pocketed liners allow for easy scale swaps, making it customizable to fit your preferences. The knife features a right-hand-only, tip-up pocket clip for convenient carry.

Lock Type

The Neutron 2 uses a liner lock, a simple and reliable locking mechanism that uses a spring-loaded liner to hold the blade open. It's easy to use and provides strong blade security.
