The TOPS Mountain Lion Field Edition is a camp utility knife developed with direct input from members of the 10th Mountain Division. Built for general field chores and camp tasks, it pairs serious blade mass with a dependable, easy-to-maintain steel for anyone who needs a tool that can take abuse around the fire or on the trail.

Blade

The 5.50" blade is made from quarter-inch thick 1095 high carbon steel, finished in a Brown Traction powder coat. 1095 is a straightforward carbon steel that holds a good working edge and is easy to resharpen on a field stone, making it a practical choice away from civilization. The powder coat finish protects the blade flats from moisture and outdoor exposure while keeping an earth-toned, low-glare look.

Handle

Handle scales are Green Canvas Micarta. Micarta is a composite made from linen or canvas layered with resin under pressure, giving it a durable, non-slip grip that holds up well in wet or sweaty conditions. At 14.2oz, this knife carries real heft suited to chopping and heavier camp work.

Carry

The Mountain Lion Field Edition ships with a Brown Kydex sheath fitted with a rotating spring steel clip. The rigid Kydex construction holds the blade with solid retention, while the rotating clip allows for adaptable belt carry positions to suit different setups.
