14C28N Vanchor Lock with G-10 Handles

The Corgi VV is the latest version of Vosteed's Corgi series, scaled up slightly and pairing the Vanchor Lock from the Corgi V with the dual front-and-back flipper setup of the original. Each flipper is shaped like a Corgi ear, keeping the knife's playful symmetry while adding a bit more size and presence for everyday carry.

Blade

The 2.91" drop point blade is made from 14C28N steel with a black stonewash finish. 14C28N is a Sandvik steel known for a good balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, making it an easy steel to maintain for daily use. Dense jimping on both flippers improves traction during deployment, and wider spine spacing aids control while cutting.

Handle

The handle uses green G-10, a fiberglass laminate prized for its light weight and grip even when wet or dirty. Stepped perimeter milling along the edges adds visual depth without adding bulk, and the knife weighs in at a manageable 4.29oz.

Carry

The Vanchor Lock combines the pivot and lock release into a single mechanism, operated through an enlarged lock button positioned for a natural thumb reach. It is a manual folder, opened via either flipper rather than any automatic mechanism. The reversible deep-carry clip has been reshaped for smoother thumb contact and fits right or left hand, tip up carry, with added clearance for thicker pocket fabric.
