Blade

The 2.92" clip point blade is made from 14C28N stainless steel with a satin finish. 14C28N is a Sandvik steel known for a good balance of edge retention, ease of sharpening, and strong corrosion resistance, making it a reliable choice for daily use. The clip point shape offers a fine, controllable tip useful for detail work and piercing cuts.

Handle

The handle is built from G-10, a fiberglass laminate that is lightweight, impervious to moisture, and textured for secure grip. At 2.7oz total, the knife carries light in the pocket.

Carry

The Vombat uses a crossbar lock, a button-style mechanism similar to the Benchmade Axis system, where a spring-loaded bar locks the blade open and is pushed back to release it for one-handed opening and closing. The pocket clip is reversible for right or left-hand tip-up carry.
