The White River GTI 3 and GTI 4.5 are tactical and survival knives designed by Justin Gingrich and built by White River Knife & Tool in Fremont, Michigan. Justin is a retired U.S. Army Ranger who served 10 years on active duty and now works as a bladesmith, teaching patrolling, demolitions, shooting, and CQB through Gingrich Tactical Innovations. He designed this line to help you prevail in any situation.
The GTI 3 packs a 3 inch blade into a 6.5 inch frame, ground from 3/16 inch stock for a compact knife that is far stouter than its size suggests. At 5 ounces it carries easily every day and gives you fine control for carving and skinning while standing up to harder use than most small fixed blades.
The GTI 4.5 is the largest of the series, with a 4.5 inch blade on .200 inch stock, 9.75 inches overall at 9.5 ounces. It balances reach and strength for splitting kindling, processing game, and the hard work a survival knife is meant for, and owners call out how well balanced it feels for its weight.
Both GTI knives run CPM S35VN at 59 to 60 Rc in stonewashed or black blade finishes, with Black and OD Linen Micarta handles that grip securely in wet or dirty conditions. Our guides to knife steels and handle materials explain why the pairing works for hard-use knives.
Each GTI ships with a Kydex sheath and is guaranteed for life with free sharpening, with White River's signature fit and finish throughout. For another heavy-duty option, compare the White River Ursus or the Firecraft FC7, or browse all fixed blade knives.
