This is the original Buck 110 Folding Hunter, model 110BRS, the brass and ebony lockback Buck introduced in 1964 as the first mass produced locking folder built for real field work. Six decades later it is still made in the USA and still the knife most people picture when they hear "Buck knife." Blade

The 3.75 inch clip point is cut from 420HC and run through Buck's own heat treat, which pushes a simple stainless steel to hold a working edge while staying tough and easy to resharpen at camp. Lock

The lockback is the reason the 110 exists. A spring loaded bar on the spine locks the blade open, and pressing it at the rear of the handle releases the blade to close. Our knife lock types guide covers how it compares to newer designs.

Handle

Genuine ebony scales sit between polished brass bolsters, with brass liners and pins holding the frame together. The flat bolsters make the 110 the most popular canvas for engraved Buck knives, and we can personalize this one with a name, date, or message for a gift. Prefer a contoured grip for field dressing? The 110 finger groove version adds it.

Carry

At 4.875 inches closed and 7.2 ounces, the 110 is built to ride on a belt, and it ships in a leather sheath. Replacement Buck sheaths fit it when the original wears out.
