This steel, known for its toughness and ease of sharpening in the field, comprises approximately 0.95% carbon. The black finish enhances the blade's corrosion resistance, addressing the natural tendency of 1095 steel to patina and rust without protection. The drop point shape provides a strong tip suitable for prying while maintaining an effective belly for slicing tasks.

Handle

The handle is made from Micarta, known for its durability and resistance to environmental conditions like moisture. This fiberglass laminate material does not absorb water or crack easily, making it ideal for harsh outdoor settings.
