The Heretic Manticore E, with E for EDC, is the midsize double action OTF in the Manticore family, scaled to 86 percent of the full size Manticore X. Manticore E vs Manticore S and Manticore X
The Manticore E runs a 3.19 inch blade at 7.9 inches open and 4.75 inches closed, about 3.3 ounces and 0.47 inch thick. That places it between the compact Manticore S at 6.5 inches and 1.7 ounces and the full size Manticore X with its 3.7 inch blade. If the S feels too small for real work and the X too big for a front pocket, the E is the one.
Double Action Stepped Thumb Slide
One stepped thumb slide fires and retracts the blade, so the Manticore E deploys and closes with one hand and a confident, positive feel. A hardened steel glass breaker caps the handle, and the deep carry clip mounts tip down for right or left hand carry, making it an easy pick among our OTF knives for daily use.
