The Heretic Manticore X is the full size flagship of the Manticore series and the model Heretic calls its best seller. Its 3.70 inch blade gives the most reach in the family, and it is the knife the smaller Manticores were scaled from, built by Heretic Knives in Sebastian, Florida. Manticore X vs Manticore E and Manticore S
The Manticore X measures 9.25 inches open and 5.50 inches closed at about 4.5 ounces, on 0.125 inch stock and a 0.47 inch thick handle. The Manticore E is scaled to 86 percent of the X at 7.9 inches and 3.3 ounces, and the Manticore S shrinks to 6.5 inches and 1.7 ounces. Choose the X when blade length and a full four finger grip matter more than pocket space.
Double Action Thumb Slide and Glass Breaker
A stepped thumb slide fires and retracts the blade with one hand, and the long handle gives leverage and control for real cutting work. A hardened steel glass breaker caps the handle for emergency use, a useful feature for first responders and anyone who wants a full size option among our OTF knives. The clip mounts tip down for right or left hand carry.
