Heretic NYX
The Heretic NYX, named for the goddess of night, is one of the slimmest OTF knives you can carry. Anthony Marfione Jr. designed it around a standout blade to handle ratio, fitting a long blade into a narrow aluminum chassis so you get full size reach without the bulk, and it is the slimline option in the Heretic Knives OTF lineup.
NYX Slim Profile and Specs
The NYX runs a 3.62 inch blade on 0.14 inch stock, 8.66 inches open and 5.04 inches closed, at about 3.6 ounces and just 0.45 inch thick. That narrow frame rides flat in a front pocket where larger OTFs print, and it slips into dress pants or a jacket pocket just as easily. Double Action Stepped Firing Button
Thumb the precision milled stepped button and the blade fires out firm, then snaps back on the return stroke, all with one hand. Spine detailing adds grip and character, and the clip carries tip down. Heretic hand tunes each NYX for a consistent action, which makes it a refined pick among our OTF knives.
MagnaCut, M390, and Damascus Blades
Production NYX tantos run CPM MagnaCut for toughness and corrosion resistance, in two tone on black aluminum or bronze Cerakote on OD green with an Ultem inlay.
