The 6.1" Assab 88 blade has a DLC (diamond-like carbon) finish for corrosion resistance and a sleek appearance. Assab 88 is a Swedish carbon steel known for its toughness and edge retention, though it will patina over time and requires maintenance to prevent rust. The forward-curved blade shape excels at chopping and slashing tasks, concentrating force at the tip for powerful cuts.

Handle

Black linen micarta handles offer a refined, canvas-like texture with excellent grip that improves when wet. Micarta is made from layers of linen fabric soaked in phenolic resin and compressed under heat and pressure, creating a tough, lightweight material that develops a beautiful patina with use.
