Microtech Siphon Pens
The Microtech Siphon II is what happens when the shop that builds the Ultratech decides the pen in your pocket deserves the same tolerances. It is a solid stainless steel writing instrument with a signature lever action, machined in the USA with the same triangle hardware, serialized clip, and finish work as the knives in the Microtech lineup.
Roughly five inches of steel with real heft to it, the Siphon II writes like a precision tool because that is literally what it is.
How the Siphon Lever Action Works
Pull the side lever up and the writing tip presents; fold it flat and the pen closes into a clean, snag-free profile. It is a mechanism you will absolutely fidget with, which is half the point of a Microtech. The longer Siphon II body adds rubber O-ring grips for writing traction, the flat-sided shaft lets the tip-down clip sit flush, and that clip carries the model name, production date, and serial number, just like the knives.
Siphon II Finishes and Marfione Customs
The all-stainless build takes finishing beautifully, and the lineup proves it: bead blast, apocalyptic, and blacked-out bodies with bronze apocalyptic hardware, plus OD green, red, and grey. Signature Series runs add deep-engraved claw and dagger logos, the two marks of the Marfione custom shop, along with skull-engraved editions, and the very top of the range brings true Marfione Custom Siphons in anodized titanium with copper cartridge tubes. It is the rare pen with a collector ladder.
Refills and Everyday Carry
Every Siphon II runs the Fisher Space Pen refill, the pressurized cartridge that writes upside down, in the cold, and on damp paper, and one you can find online or at any big box store when it runs dry.
