The Pro-Tech Avalon is a limited custom collaboration with Mike Irie, built for collectors who want a premium manual folder with top-tier fit and finish. This 2026 Avalon Custom 001 pairs a compound-ground blade with a knurled steel handle for a knife that is as much a showpiece as it is a daily carry.

Blade

The 4.25" drop point blade is made from 154CM stainless steel with a mirror polished finish. 154CM is a premium stainless known for excellent edge retention and good corrosion resistance, making it a longtime favorite among custom knifemakers. Mike Irie's compound grind adds a secondary bevel that improves cutting performance while giving the blade a distinct look under the mirror finish.

Handle

The handle is made from knurled 17-4 stainless steel, a heat-treated alloy valued for its strength and corrosion resistance. The knurled texture improves grip despite the hardness of the material. A black lip pearl button and satin thumb studs and hardware add contrast against the steel. The knife weighs 3.69oz.

Carry

This is a manual button lock knife - pressing the button releases the blade for closing, and the lock bar secures it open during use. It is not an automatic knife; the blade is opened manually with the satin thumb studs. A satin long deep carry clip is mounted for right-hand, tip-up carry, allowing the handle to sit low in the pocket.
