The Pro-Tech Avalon is the brand's full-size everyday carry statement, a 4.25 inch CPM MagnaCut drop point designed in collaboration with Peace Neighbor, the design company founded by actor Shawn Ashmore. Pro-Tech Avalon Design and Specs
The Avalon runs a button lock with dual thumb stud deployment, riding smooth ball-bearing action for one-hand opening that locks up without a hint of play. The stonewashed MagnaCut blade, profiled in our knife steel guide, balances edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance better than nearly anything in its class, and the knurled 6061 aluminum handle keeps the whole package at a remarkable 3.7 ounces. At 9.25 inches overall this is a commanding full-size folder, but the long deep-carry clip and the light frame let it disappear into a pocket like something half its size.
