The Hinderer Full Track is the upsized evolution of the Hinderer Half Track, a full titanium flipper that carries its own disassembly tool in the spine. It introduced the tool-in-the-knife idea that later went into the Project X, and it remains the most self-sufficient folder among Rick Hinderer knives, made in the USA.
The Full Track's backspacer is part of the Hinderer Modular Backspacer System, and it pops out on a spring detent without tools. Pull it and you have a driver that adjusts the pivot or strips the whole knife for cleaning in the field, then it clicks back into the spine. Our HMBS hardware carries more backspacer options for the platform.
Unlike most Hinderers, both sides of the Full Track are titanium, with a thick integral frame lock and G-10 inserts on each face for grip and weight savings. The show side insert lifts out to reveal a small pocket that stores spare washers and spacers for the Tri-Way Pivot. A steel lockbar insert, internal blade stops, and the Lockbar Stabilizer round out the build, and the titanium clip carries tip up, right hand.
The current Full Track runs a 3.75 inch CPM S45VN wharncliffe on 0.165 inch stock, 8.875 inches open and 5.15 inches closed at about 6.9 ounces. The straight edge puts full power at the tip for precise cuts, and S45VN is a tough, corrosion resistant stainless that sharpens easily. Earlier runs came as spanto and spear point in S35VN and 20CV, and our comparison of every major knife steel shows how they differ.
The G-10 inserts are easy to swap for a new look. Our Hinderer Full Track hardware carries textured scale sets in FDE, gray, and OD green plus brass and copper standoff sets, and the full range of Hinderer parts and accessories adds clips, stabilizers, and beads.
