on Orders Over $99The RoseCraft Blades Appalachian Jack is a nod to traditional craftsmanship in modern design, featuring a single-blade slip joint based on a pattern nearly 100 years old. Ideal for enthusiasts of classic folding knives, this piece combines historical significance with contemporary materials and functionality.
Blade
The 3.3" clip point blade is crafted from 14C28N steel at 0.09" thick, known for its excellent balance between edge retention and corrosion resistance. With a hardness of 57-62 HRC, it offers remarkable performance relative to budget steels. The brushed satin finish not only enhances the knife's aesthetic appeal but also adds durability.
Handle
The covers are hand-jigged Dapper Jigged Bone with steel liners, providing both elegance and strength. Nickel silver pins, a stainless steel Rosebud Shield, and brushed steel bolsters complement the handle's design. The handle includes a solid pry tip at its butt, extending to an overall length of 7.7" and measuring 4.4" closed.
Lock Type
This is a slipjoint knife without a lock mechanism, meaning it relies on the tension between two opposing blades to stay open. It features a half-stop for additional control during opening or closing.
Weighing in at 3.7oz, this knife strikes an excellent balance of functionality and portability, making it suitable for everyday carry. Designed by Andy Armstrong, each piece is meticulously crafted, ensuring precision and quality from one knife to the next.
