RoseCraft Blades is a knife company based in Maryville, Tennessee, founded in 2021 by William Rose and designed by a four-person team including Andy Armstrong, Savannah Swaggerty, Hawkins Rose, and Chase Snyder. The company produces traditional slip joint pocket knives and modern folding knives manufactured overseas with plans to build a Tennessee manufacturing facility. RoseCraft models are named after Tennessee waterways including Buffalo River, Elk River, Cumberland River, Clinch River, and Sequatchie River. Armstrong's Clinch River Swayback design won BLADE Show Imported Knife of the Year in 2023.
D2 Steel Blades with Half-Stop Mechanisms
RoseCraft slip joint knives use D2 tool steel blades with brushed satin finishes and half-stop mechanisms for blade control. Traditional patterns include Barlow, Jack, Trapper, Muskrat, Congress, Sowbelly, Cotton Sampler, Peanut, and Loom Fixer designs ranging from 2.7 to 3.3-inch blade lengths. Armstrong designed original patterns including the Bow Trapper, Upswept Bow Trapper, and Kayak alongside interpretations of classic slip joint configurations. Blades feature spear point, clip point, Wharncliffe, and sheepsfoot grinds with swedging and satin finishes.
Micarta, Bone, and Stag Handle Materials
RoseCraft handles use natural materials including canvas micarta, linen micarta, denim micarta, jigged bone in multiple colors, genuine stag, red deer stag, and sandalwood. Bone handle colors include Bora Bora Blue, Vintage Moss Brown, Smoky Gray, Rose Madder Red, and Toasted White. Wood options include rosewood, black sandalwood, red sandalwood, yellow sandalwood, desert ironwood, and burlwood. Construction features steel liners, nickel silver bolsters, nickel silver pins, and nickel silver rosebud shields.
Button Lock Folders and Fixed Blade Models
RoseCraft produces modern button lock folders including the MA-12 with G-10 handles in OD green, digital camo, and black, plus the Clinch River button lock with green and black micarta construction. Fixed blade models F1, F2, and F3 feature 1095 carbon steel blades with powder or PVD coating for rust protection, G-10 or linen micarta handles with colored liners, and Kydex sheaths. Modern designs also include the Joka executive flipper and Alenta flipper with ceramic ball bearing pivots.
