The Elk River Easy Open Jack is a single-blade traditional pattern from RoseCraft Blades, reimagined by Andy Armstrong from an old I-X-L design. It suits collectors and everyday carry users who appreciate classic slipjoint construction with a modern easy-open feature.
Blade
The 2.75" lambsfoot blade is made from 14C28N steel with a brushed satin finish and heavy swedging. 14C28N is a Swedish stainless steel that holds a good edge while remaining easy to sharpen and highly resistant to corrosion. The lambsfoot profile has a straight edge and a gently curved spine, making it well suited for controlled slicing tasks.
Handle
Genuine toasted white bone covers give this knife a warm, natural look with distinct grain variation from piece to piece. The bolsters, liners, and pins are brushed stainless steel and nickel silver, adding durability and a traditional finish. At 2.6oz, it carries light in the pocket.
Carry
This is a slipjoint, so there is no locking mechanism - the blade is held open by spring tension with a half-stop for controlled closing. A diamond-shaped shield and an easy-open slot let you pinch and pull the blade open without a nail nick. Closed length is 3.5", making it a compact, pocket-friendly carry.
