The Obed Creek Bow Trapper is RoseCraft Blades' take on the classic bow trapper pattern originally designed by Andy Armstrong. This traditional folder suits collectors and everyday carriers who appreciate old-pattern knives with hand-finished details.

Blade

The primary blade is a 3.1" drop point ground from 14C28N stainless steel with a brushed satin finish and heavy swedging. 14C28N is a Sandvik steel that balances edge retention, ease of sharpening, and strong corrosion resistance, making it a dependable choice for daily cutting tasks. A half stop gives you controlled opening and closing.

Handle

The covers are hand-jigged Dapper Jigged Bone, applied one piece at a time rather than machine-jigged, so texture and coloring vary naturally from knife to knife. Brushed steel bolsters and steel liners add structure, while nickel silver pins and a Spades shield finish the look. At 3.5oz, it carries light in the pocket.

Carry

This is a traditional slipjoint with no locking mechanism - the blade is held open by spring tension alone, in keeping with classic trapper design. Closed length is 4.125", making it compact enough for a pocket or slip case.
