The Otter Creek Barlow Dapper Jigged Bone is a traditional single-blade slipjoint designed by Andy Armstrong, built for collectors and everyday carry users who appreciate classic pocket knife patterns with hand-finished details.
Blade
The 2.9" clip point blade is made from 14C28N steel with a brushed satin finish and swedging at the spine. 14C28N is a Swedish stainless steel known for taking a fine edge easily and resisting corrosion, making it a low-maintenance choice for daily use. The clip point shape offers a fine, controllable tip suited to detail work and piercing cuts.
Handle
The covers are hand-jigged Dapper Jigged Bone, with each piece jigged individually rather than machine-stamped, so texture and pattern vary knife to knife. Bone is a natural material, and RoseCraft leaves its natural coloring and variation visible rather than masking it with heavy dye. Brushed steel bolsters carry the Otter Print mark, and steel liners back the construction. The knife weighs 3.1oz.
Carry
This is a traditional slipjoint with a half-stop, meaning there's no locking mechanism - the blade is held open by spring tension and folds with resistance rather than a lock release. At 3.5" closed, it carries easily in a pocket without a clip, in keeping with classic barlow design.
