on Orders Over $99The RoseCraft Blades Appalachian Jack combines traditional craftsmanship with modern materials, designed by Andy Armstrong. This folding knife features a single-blade slip joint mechanism and is inspired by patterns nearly 100 years old. It's perfect for enthusiasts who appreciate classic design with the convenience of contemporary performance.
Blade
The Appalachian Jack boasts a 3.3" clip point blade crafted from 14C28N steel, known for its refined grain structure due to nitrogen alloying. The 0.09" thick blade is finished with a brushed satin coating, enhancing both aesthetics and corrosion resistance. The hardness of this budget-friendly steel ranges between 57-62 HRC, providing excellent edge retention and ease of sharpening.
Handle
The handle features hand-jigged Red Barnboard Jigged Bone scales for a unique touch. These are complemented by steel liners, nickel silver pins, a stainless steel Rosebud Shield, and brushed steel bolsters. The butt of the handle includes a solid pry tip, adding functionality to its traditional design.
Lock Type
This knife employs a slipjoint mechanism, which offers simplicity and reliability without the need for external locking components. At 7.7" overall length (including the pry tip) and weighing 3.7oz, it's compact yet substantial enough for everyday carry.
