The Formido is a skeletonized fixed blade engineered for self-defense and everyday carry. Curtis Iovito designed it around a simple premise: a defensive tool only works if you actually carry it. At just 2.5 ounces and 8.75 inches overall, the Formido disappears on your person until needed.
The 3.875-inch straight back blade is ground from CPM MagnaCut or S45VN steel. MagnaCut versions are heat treated to 61-63 HRC, delivering exceptional edge retention and corrosion resistance in a blade thin enough for comfortable all-day carry. SpartaCoat PVD finishes—Tungsten DLC (Flat Black) or ZrN (Flat Dark Earth)—add durability and eliminate glare.
The skeletonized construction reduces weight without sacrificing blade strength. The slim profile and Kydex sheath allow for inside-the-waistband (IWB) or horizontal carry configurations, keeping the Formido accessible while remaining concealed under normal clothing.
Made in the USA.
The name comes from Latin—"formido" meaning fear or dread. An appropriate designation for a blade designed to end confrontations decisively.
