The Spartan Blades Pandia is a titanium framelock flipper designed by co-founder Curtis Iovito and made in the USA. It is Spartan Blades' refined everyday carry folder, smaller and slimmer than the Spartan Harsey Folder but cut from the same cloth. In Greek myth, Pandia was associated with the full moon and the clarity it brings, and the knife leans into that idea with a clean, uninterrupted look.
The Pandia carries a 3.25 inch spear point with a high flat grind and a sharpening choil. It runs 8.25 inches open and about 5 inches closed at roughly 4 ounces. The 6AL4V titanium frame keeps the knife thin, and a monolithic titanium clip is machined to sit flush with the handle. The clip mounts tip up for right or left hand carry.
The blade opens off a flipper tab and runs on the IKBS ball bearing system, which breaks in quickly and stays smooth. A titanium framelock holds it open. It is a simple, strong lock that releases with the thumb, the same lock type as the bigger Harsey Folder.
Standard Pandias run stonewashed CPM MagnaCut with Spartan's proprietary heat treat and double deep cryo, and our knife steel guide compares it with other premium steels. Most configurations on our shelf also come in Chad Nichols Damascus. Choose stonewashed titanium with plain, blue, or bronze anodized hardware, or the blue and gold anodized 250th Anniversary Edition.
The Pandia Fire is the first release in the Ronin Five Rings Project, a collaboration with Tu Lam of Ronin Tactics. It is inspired by Miyamoto Musashi's Book of Five Rings and carries a samurai image on the titanium. Fire leads a planned five-knife series: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Void. Tu Lam also co-designed Spartan's Ronin Shinto fixed blade and the Ronin Shoto karambit. For Spartan's full-size titanium folding knife, see the Spartan Harsey Folder.
