Any new design from Matt Martin and the Vehement shop is noteworthy in the knife world. One of their most popular models has long been the Kuto Misa. Some time back, a SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) instructor in Europe asked for some modifications to the Kuto design. The instructor put the prototype through the paces and all involved were happy with the results. Matt liked it so much he added it to the regular roster, christening it the K2, as it’s the second iteration of the Kuto Misa.
At 10.25 inches overall, the Vehement Knives K2 is not a small knife. But it handles much more nimbly than the size might indicate. The CPM 154 steel holds an amazing edge. Just ahead of the top quillon, the spine is a perfect 90°, perfect for striking sparks from a ferrocerium rod. One of the calling cards of Vehement Knives is the perfectly radiused choil.
The Vehement Knives K2 comes complete with a handmade leather sheath from Skin Bender Leather Works and is available only through DLT Trading.
