Blade

The 4" trailing point blade is made from MagnaCut steel at 0.156" thick. MagnaCut is a modern powder metallurgy steel that delivers excellent edge retention, strong corrosion resistance, and good toughness, making it well suited to the wet, messy conditions of field dressing game. The trailing point profile sweeps the tip upward, giving extra belly for skinning and slicing tasks.

Handle

The handle uses blue paper Micarta with Tiffany blue liners. Micarta is a composite made from layers of paper or linen soaked in resin and compressed under heat, resulting in a durable, grippy material that holds up well in wet conditions. At 6.07oz, the knife balances well for extended use in the field.

Carry

The Hawkeye Hunter ships with a leather sheath for belt carry. As a fixed blade, there is no lock to operate - the tang runs the full length of the handle for strength, and the leather sheath holds the knife secure and ready for use in the field.
