Blade

The 4" trailing point blade is ground from MagnaCut steel at 0.156" thick. MagnaCut is a modern powder metallurgy steel developed specifically to balance edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance - a combination that makes it excel in hunting knives exposed to blood, moisture, and repeated field use. The trailing point profile sweeps upward toward the tip, giving extra belly for skinning and caping tasks.

Handle

The handle is built with Micarta, a composite made from linen or canvas cloth layered with resin under heat and pressure. It is dense, stable in wet conditions, and develops a slightly textured grip over time. Natural canvas liners and butterscotch pins add detail to the handle construction. At 6.07oz, the knife carries a solid but manageable feel in hand.

Carry

The Hawkeye Hunter ships with a leather sheath sized for belt carry. As a fixed blade, there is no lock or folding mechanism to maintain - the full construction relies on a solid, one-piece build from blade to handle. The leather sheath offers secure retention while keeping the knife accessible for quick use in the field.
