Vero Engineering knives are designed by Joseph Vero, a mechanical engineer and Florida Atlantic University graduate who spent years designing technology for law enforcement. In 2018, he sketched his first knife, the Impulse, during downtime at home, inspired by his grandfathers' pocket knives he cherished growing up. What started as a passion project became a family business, with Joseph now working alongside his wife, sister, and even his two young sons when they're not in school.

Vero's signature flipper tab is engineered to function as both a traditional flipper and a front flipper, without compromising the knife's clean lines. It's designed to be pulled outward, not pushed downward, a subtle detail that makes deployment feel incredibly natural, and some models add a square recess on the non-show side for finger flicking. This is engineering solving real problems, not just adding features.
