Medford Proxima
The Medford Proxima is a titanium frame lock from Medford Knife & Tool that started life as the Gigantes. For folks who wanted a larger than life knife, the Gigantes was awesome, but for the rest of planet Earth an adjustment in attitude was required. Medford drew it down to an 8.8 inch overall length, a 4.9 inch closed length for the pocket, and a 3.9 inch blade, all on 3/16 inch nominal stock for an EDC friendly thickness.
How the Medford Proxima Got Its Name
Medford played with several twists on the Gigantes name, but Greg Medford kept the prototype in his own pocket and kept saying the knife was too awesome to get a spin off name. Every time anyone needed to look at the prototype, it was in Greg's pocket, always near, and so it became the Proxima. It sits between the slim Antik and the full size Praetorian as a big Medford folding knife that still carries every day.

The Proxima carries a full titanium frame lock at 8.25 ounces. Choose S35VN with a tumbled blade and tumbled titanium, the same with blue hardware and clip, or a DLC blade with black hardware, or step up to DLC S45VN with flamed and bronze titanium.
