The Pro-Tech Cambria 2 marks the triumphant return of Pro-Tech's first flipper folding knife, winner of the 2017 Blade Magazine Investor/Collector Knife of the Year Award, now rebuilt around a CPM MagnaCut blade and the modern refinements the original never had. The Cambria 2 runs the same tuned detent system and ultra-smooth ball bearing pivot as the popular Malibu, delivering that signature Pro-Tech button lock flipper action that opens with a snap and drops freely shut at the press of the button.
The 3.5 inch drop point blade is ground from CPM MagnaCut, the current benchmark for balancing edge retention, toughness, and stain resistance in one steel, covered in full in our knife steel guide. At 7.85 inches overall and around 3.3 ounces, the slender aluminum frame melts into the hand and disappears into a pocket on the deep carry tip-up clip, with an integral backspacer and lanyard hole finishing the build. The thin blade stock makes the Cambria 2 a genuine slicer, not just a fidget-friendly action piece.
The Cambria 2 is a manual flipper, not an automatic, which makes it the Pro-Tech you can carry in jurisdictions and workplaces where autos are restricted, with zero compromise on the action the brand is famous for. Configurations run from tactical all-black models to collector variations with TechnoCarbo carbon fiber inlays, maple burl wood, ivory micarta, mosaic pin buttons, and black lip pearl button inlays, each hand-fitted in Pro-Tech's Southern California shop. Cambria 2 runs are small and move quickly, so if the configuration you want shows out of stock, sign up for restock alerts and catch the next drop the moment it lands.
