Spartan Blades Damysus
The Damysus is a combat/utility fixed blade manufactured by KA-BAR Knives in Olean, NY as part of Spartan Blades' collaborative lineup. Curtis Iovito designed it as a hefty all-rounder—substantial enough for hard use, but balanced for extended carry.
The 5.5-inch drop point blade is flat ground from 1095 Cro-Van steel at 56-58 HRC. This high-carbon tool steel delivers toughness and impact resistance for demanding field tasks. The black powder coat protects against corrosion while maintaining a subdued tactical profile. The straight edge and robust point geometry handle everything from cutting cordage to batoning.
Full-tang construction meets CE Canvas Micarta handles in black or green, providing a secure grip in wet or dry conditions. At 10.75 inches overall and just over 9 ounces, the Damysus has presence without being unwieldy. The injection-molded sheath features an active retention thumb lever for secure carry and quick deployment.
