The Spyderco Military launched in 1996 as one of the first production knives to feature a particle metallurgy steel blade. It was designed for hard use—a full-size tactical folder with the cutting performance to back up its name. Nearly three decades later, the Military remains in production and continues to influence Spyderco's most popular designs.
The Paramilitary 2 and Para 3 both descended from this knife—scaled-down versions that brought Military DNA to everyday carry sizes. But for users who want the original full-size platform, nothing else fills that role.
The Military features a 4-inch blade with Spyderco's leaf-shaped profile and full-flat grind. The Liner Lock engages solidly for secure lockup during hard use. G-10 handles provide grip without adding unnecessary weight, and the four-position pocket clip accommodates any carry preference. Despite the larger blade, the slim profile carries better than the specs might suggest.
