Reate EXO Mini
The Reate EXO Mini takes the gravity mechanism that made the original EXO a phenomenon and shrinks it into something you can actually clip to a pocket. At 6.5 inches overall with a 2.625 inch blade, it is the most compact expression of the platform, and it corrects the two things that kept the full size EXO from being a practical carry knife.
What the EXO Mini Adds Over the Original EXO
The full size EXO ships without a pocket clip and rides in a leather sheath. The Mini adds a right hand, tip down clip and a slide lock that secures the blade in both the open and closed positions. That lock matters more than the size reduction. It means the knife can sit in a pocket without the frame shifting, which is the single objection most people had to the original. Deployment works the same way it always has. Pinch the milled handle, drop the frame at an angle, and the blade travels forward under its own weight with no spring involved.

Current builds run CPM-3V at .118 inch stock in drop point and tanto profiles, with a two tone finish. 3V is a tough, semi-stainless tool steel that takes impact well and resists chipping, which suits a knife this small being used harder than its size suggests. Choosing Between the EXO Mini and Other EXO Models
