The 7Forge Hawkeye EDC is a compact MagnaCut fixed blade made in Iowa for everyday carry, built around a 3.25 inch trailing point on 1/8 inch stock and a 4.25 inch handle at 3.75 ounces. It is the smaller half of the 7Forge Hawkeye platform, sized for opening mail, breaking down boxes, food prep, and whatever else the day brings.
Most small EDC fixed blades run a drop point or clip point. The Hawkeye sweeps its tip up above the spine instead, which stretches the belly and puts more edge into every slicing cut, from an apple to a strip of tape to a length of cord, in a blade barely over three inches long. A sharpening choil lets you take the edge clean to the heel, the handle swells into a forefinger stop that keeps your hand off the edge, and a lined lanyard hole finishes the butt. The leather sheath holds it with a snug friction fit for belt or pocket carry. Need the same profile for game? The Hawkeye Hunter scales it to a 4 inch blade on thicker 5/32 inch stock. CPM MagnaCut, designed by metallurgist Larrin Thomas, is a stainless steel that gives up almost nothing in toughness, so the Hawkeye holds an edge, shrugs off sweat and food, and still sharpens without a fight. See how it compares in our guide to every major knife steel. Handles are where every Hawkeye EDC turns personal: burlap micarta in Kali, Nyx, Druid, Bison, Evergreen, and natural; linen micarta in orange, violet, maroon, red, and green; canvas, denim, and paper micarta; Richlite in red maple, nautical, redstone, blue, and black; Tiffany blue G-10; and desert ironwood, koa, black ash burl, spalted tamarind, or stacked leather, each with colored liners and brass or mosaic pins. Our handle materials guide covers how each one grips and wears.
