The Leatherman Super Tool 300 is the heavy-duty workhorse that sits between the Rebar and the Surge in Leatherman's lineup. Introduced in 2009 as a successor to the earlier Super Tool and Core platforms, it carries the brand's strongest plier head paired with 19 locking tools and three replaceable wire cutters. It's the tool Leatherman built for electricians, tradesmen, military users, and anyone who runs a multi-tool hard every day. DLT carries the Super Tool 300 in stainless steel and black oxide finishes.
The Super Tool 300 plier head is among the strongest Leatherman has ever produced, with a sloped-top design that reaches further into tight spaces than the straight-profile pliers on most multi-tools. The 19-tool count includes needlenose and regular pliers, replaceable wire and hard-wire cutters, stranded-wire cutters, electrical crimper, wire stripper, two 420HC blades, saw, wood and metal file, awl with thread loop, 9-inch ruler, can and bottle opener, Phillips driver, and large, medium, and small screwdrivers. Every feature except the plier head locks when deployed via a push-tab lock release on the outside of the handle.
The Super Tool 300 runs two 420HC blades: a 3.2-inch plain edge and a fully serrated secondary blade. Both are outside-accessible and operable with gloves on thanks to the oversized handle cutouts. The replaceable wire cutters run 154CM, a harder stainless that extends service life against harder wire and mixed-material tasks. Three distinct cutter sections handle regular wire, hard wire, and stranded wire without dulling the primary edges. When the cutters wear, they swap rather than forcing you into a new tool.
Large side cutouts in the stainless steel handles make every tool accessible while wearing work gloves, which is why the Super Tool 300 has become a standard on industrial and military jobsites. The handle edges are rolled for grip comfort during extended use. A lanyard ring at the open end gives you a secure tether point. Stainless steel and black oxide finishes are both available. Pair it with a compatible Molle sheath, premium leather sheath, or nylon sheath from the Leatherman Sheaths & Accessories category to round out the carry setup.
