It will patina over time and requires maintenance to prevent rust, but it holds up well to hard use. The flat grind enhances slicing ability while maintaining strength for prying and batoning tasks.

Handle

The maple handle is lightweight at just 2.5oz and offers a comfortable grip. Maple is a traditional material that provides excellent grip texture and durability. The overall length of 5.5625" makes this knife easy to carry while still offering enough blade length for practical use.

Carry
