White River Knife & Tool is a small family company in Fremont, Michigan, run by the Cammenga family and built on decades of manufacturing experience. The name comes from Michigan's White River, which runs through the family's property in the Manistee National Forest, and the mission hasn't changed since day one: American knives with impressive fit, finish, and function, warrantied for life.
White River has earned its reputation on fixed blades made for real-world use and abuse. They are good-looking knives, but they are built to get dirty. White River sources its materials in the United States, with exceptions only for exotics like cork that aren't produced here, and most of the lineup runs CPM MagnaCut, with S35VN and CPM 3V on select models.
Most White River knives are designed for hunting, fishing, survival, and camp work. The Model 1 family covers everyday carry and backpacking, the Hunter and Small Game handle field dressing, and the Sendero is built for backcountry hunts. The Firecraft series is made for bushcraft and fire starting, while the Ursus and Ursus Cub take on heavy survival work.
Beyond the hunting line, the fillet knives cover the boat and the cleaning table, the Camp Cleaver handles camp kitchen chopping, and compact carry knives like the Shoal, ATK, and Trailhead Trapper stay out of the way until you need them.
